EDITH CORLEY CARMAN, age 80, a resident of Cedar Ridge Health Campus, Cynthiana, died Wednesday, February 15, 2006, at the nursing home. Born in Grayson County, February 14, 1926, to the late John and Emma Bozarth Corley, she was a former Shady Lawn Home employee and a member of Central Christian Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Carman; four brothers, George Corley, Frankie Corley, Junior Corley and Ira Corley and four sisters, Nycie Roberts, Virgie Pate, Genevie Glascock and Agnes Geary.
She is survived by a son, Eugene Carman, Livermore; five daughters, Ruth Ann Brierly, Cynthiana, Marsha (Donnie) Holland, Cynthiana, Linda Lois Carman, Cynthiana, Sue (Larry) Walters, Sadieville and Barbara (Gary) Bennett, Corbin; a sister, Florine (Jake) Hawkins, Evansville, Indiana; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M Saturday at Ware Funeral Home by Bro. Paul Stamper and Bro. Wayne Tolson. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. Friday. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Christian Church.
