WALTER DAVID DICKEY SUCCUMBS AGED 62;
FUNERAL IS SATURDAY
Walter David Dickey, 62, resident of southern Oregon for the past 35 years, passed away at a local hospital Wednesday morning after a brief illness. Mr. Dickey was born at Harriman, Tenn., January 26, 1880.
He had been manager of the F. Corning Kenley orchard for the past 26 years and well known to a host of friends. He was an expert orchard man.
Mr. Dickey spent his early life in Tennessee and was united in marriage to Miss Joan Riggs at Oliver Springs, Tenn., April 5, 1905.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Joan Dickey and one daughter, Mrs. Anna Hatch; also one grandchild, Walter Hatch, all of Medford; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Alexander of Madisonville, Tenn., Mrs. Christina Scarborough of Harriman, Ten., and five brothers, Hobart and Thomas Dickey
of Medford, George, Lewis and Layfette Dickey, all of Harriman, Tenn.
Funeral services will be conducted from Perl Funeral home Saturday at 2 p.m., Rev. D. E. Millard officiating. Interment will take place in Medford IOOF cemetery.
