Funeral services for Dossie Ovella Abernathy, 79, of Ardmore, Tennessee will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Spry Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Hammock officiating. Burial will follow in Higgins Cemetery. She died Thursday at Health Care Center of Ardmore. She was born on October 31, 1918 near Athens. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her son, Solotus Wayne Tunstill. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Powell of Tanner; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
