Joyce Ann Snyder Smith, 64, of Petersburg died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, at her home. She was born Oct. 1, 1938, in Cass County, the daughter of Howard "Mike" and Bernadine Ishmael Severns. She married Jim Smith. A son, Michael Snyder, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Smith formerly owned the Snyder Home Center in Petersburg.
Survivors: husband, Jim; three sons, John (wife, Linda) Snyder of Corinth, Texas, Stacey Snyder of Mount Sterling and Troy (wife, Tricia) Snyder of Paw Paw; three daughters, Jill (husband, John) Stockton of Springfield, Julie Stroisch of Grangeville, Idaho, and Jayne (husband, David) Rebbe of Petersburg; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; mother, Bernadine Jaeger of Petersburg; three brothers, Bill (wife, Norma) Severns of Petersburg and Russell (wife, Angie) and Bob (wife, Bev) Severns, both of Oakford; and two sisters, Jo (husband, Pete) Claussen of Oakford and Sharon (husband, Steve) Allen of Petersburg.
