Death Takes E.G. Haines.
E.G. Haines, well known elderly farmer of Cowley county, died in the St. Francis hospital at Wichita at 11:30 a.m. Thursday after an illness of two years.
Mr. Haines had farmed and raised stock near Arkansas City for many years and in recent years had been farming five miles north of Winfield. He was a native of Cowley county.
Included in the survivors are the wife, two sons, Forrest Haines, instructor in the manual arts department of the Arkansas City high school, and Eldon Haines of Wichita, and two daughters, Mrs. Reva Sneed of Wichita and Mrs. Lola Schwader of the home.
Funeral Services are in charge of the Swisher Mortuary of Winfield and will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday with burial in the Hackney cemetery.
