He married Agnes C. Weiland in 1941 at St Anne Catholic Church, Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. She was born 10 Apr 1910 in Winthrop, Sibley County, Minnesota, and died 14 Dec 1954 in St Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota.

He then married Lorna Bernice Evans on May 29, 1957. She was born 29 May 1909 in Sandstone, Pine County, Minnesota, and died 31 Mar 2002 in St Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota.
