Marie L. Christopherson, age 94, of 1005 Knox Ave passed away Wed, Apr 15, 1992 at a local nursing home. Born to James and Lizzie Thompson on Sept 13, 1897 at Minneapolis, MN.
Marie was a Bellingham resident for 72 years, graduate of the Bellingham normal school, and a teacher in the Bellingham school district for 39 years. She was the attendance clerk and guidance counselor for Bellingham High School from 1950 to 1959. She was a member of the Garden Street Methodist Church, past Matron in the Order of Eastern Star Sehome Chapter no. 17 and the secretary for 15 yrs, Daughters of the Nile, Esther Club, Zenobia Club, and Retired Teachers Assoc.
Preceded in death by her brother Ed Thompson; 1st husband Carleton Byron, married in 1920, passed away in 1938; 2nd husband Carl Christopherson, married in 1941, passed away in 1969.
Survived by her daughter, Dari Anne Day of Bellingham; a nephew, Ralph and wife Margaret Thompson of Vancouver, WA; a niece Judy Thompson of Seattle; numerous other nephews and nieces.
Memorial services will be held Mon April 20, 1992, 2 pm at the Garden Street Methodist Church with Rev. WM Berney and Rev. Frank Mathews officiating. Memorials may be made to Garden Street Methodist Church. Arrangements by Westford Funeral Home.
