NORTH OGDEN – Edith Hawkins Hansen passed away at home from causes related to cancer, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 13, 1911 in Samaria, Idaho to Thomas E. and Jane Price Hawkins. She married Henry Hansen June 30, 1933 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Edith was an active member of the LDS Church and served diligently in many callings. She liked to crochet and was an avid Jazz fan.

She is survived by her children Geraldine (Bob) Decius, Bob (Louise) Hansen and Linda (Grant) Perkins; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister and best friend Mary Black; sister-in-law Beulah Hawkins and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; infant daughter; 2 brothers Bill and Jim Hawkins and a special nephew Ron Black.

A special thanks to Legacy Hospice, especially Rachelle.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 13, 2008 at 11:00 am at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden. Friends may call at the mortuary Sunday, October 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Monday prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 am.

Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Primary Children's Hospital
