Jack Norman Gregory, 84, of Greenville, husband of Nancy McKeown Gregory went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, September 17, 2008.

Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Andrew Harrison and Mae Waller Gregory. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II and flew over 30 missions on a B-17 as a waist gunner.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, A. Harrison Gregory, III.

He retired from Bi-Lo after ten years of service and had previously been employed with Winn-Dixie for thirty years in data processing.

Norman loved his Lord and Saviour and was a member of Central Baptist Church in his early years. He continued to serve at White Oak Baptist Church, where he and Nancy were active members in all areas of the church for many years. The visitation ministry was a special passion of his.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years; and by two daughters, Beth Bianco of Chester and Mary Ann Gregory of Rock Springs, Ga.; a son, Jack Norman Gregory, Jr. of Boiling Springs; a sister, Frances Gregory; and a brother, Bill Gregory, both of Greenville. Also surviving are four grandchildren who lovingly called him "Poppi", Trey Dacus, who is serving in Iraq with the Marine Reserves, Maegan Dacus, and Chris and Andrew Gregory. He treated many others as his own.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 19, 2008, at 2 o'clock at White Oak Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 o'clock at the church.
Entombment will follow in the Remembrance Chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
