Born February 5, 1905 in Wales, Utah, she was the sixth of 11 children of Hyrum Davis and Mary Ann Jordan Thomas.
She married Ebenezer Russell Young on June 17, 1922. They had one child, Russell, who died in 2005. She was a life-long member of the LDS Church. She loved to travel, golf, and cook and was very supportive of all her extended family.
Surviving Lorelda is her daughter-in-law, Ina Young Hansen (Clyde); grandchildren DeAnne Wiberg (Joe), Glenna Isner (Ray), Barbara Burt (Jim), Debra Legge (Jack), Paul R. Young (Deborah), 20 great-grand-children, 22 great-great-grand-children; three sisters-in-law, Norma Thomas, Wanda Spriggs, and Dorothy Young and many nieces and nephews.
Her life will be celebrated on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East, where friends may call on Friday, March 20, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment: Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 South Washington Boulevard, Ogden, Utah.
