Durward Earl Profitt, Sr.
Duward Earl Profitt, Sr., 69, of 1623 Hoods Creek Rd., died at 7:30pm Tuesday at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Profitt was born June 2 1905 at Lee Co KY, a son of the late Henry Franklin & Lola Smith Profitt. He was a crane operator at Armco Steel Corp. in the open hearth department and a member of the Armco Veterans Club and local Union 1865. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Chlora Fosson Profitt; a son, Earl Profitt Jr of Westwood; two brothers, Carl Profitt of Westwood and JW Profitt of Tampa, FL; two sisters, Mrs. Christina Henderson of Cincinnati and Mrs. Lillie Lacy of Lee Co and a grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Thursday at the Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood by the Rev. Wilbur Crace. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home where friends may call after 6pm today.
