Lucille Kime Lucille A. Kime, 90, Defiance, died at 8:26 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2005, in Harborside Healthcare Center. She was born May 28, 1914, in Defiance County, the daughter of Jacob and Anna (Ashbacher) Westrick.
In 1933, she married Irvine (Ike) Kime, who died in 1999. She was a waitress for 30 years at Kettenring Country Club and a member of St. John's Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society, Patna Mission and Catholic Ladies of Columbia.
Surviving are five sons, Richard (Donnie), Francis (Jeananne), Peter (Mavis) and Thomas (Pam) of Defiance and Paul (Kay), Alabama; 10 daughters, Mrs. Nelson (Barbara) Hahn, Mrs. James (Kathryn) Langschied, Anita Leever and Mrs. Lynn (Ann) Fockler of Defiance, Sister Lucille SND of Sandusky, Mrs. Don (Janet) Zern of Churubusco, Ind., Margaret Kohne and Mrs. Joe (Mary) Morris of New Haven, Ind., Nancy Kime of Fort Wayne and Linda Meek, Fremont; a brother, Francis (Magdalene) Westrick, Defiance; and 39 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were two sons, Dave and James; a daughter, Patricia; four brothers, Bernard, John, Vincent and Quentin; five sisters, Julia Ryan, Dorothy Swary, Corrine Boff, Sister Frances DeSales and Mary Westrick; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. John's Catholic Church with Father Dennis Walsh officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Sunday at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m.
