Mr. Calfee was born September 24, 1919 in Hale , MO, to Thomas Delmar and Dora Parks Calfee. He married Kathy Lee Calfee on January 15, 2006 in Huntsville. She survives him.
Other survivors include his son Gerald Calfee (Mona) of Covington, LA, one step-son Herbert McCanley of Macon, MO; one step-daughter Elizabeth Cheney of Huntsville; three brothers Leo Calfee of the state of California, Arley Calfee of Reno, NV and Allen Calfee of Warrensburg, MO; one sister Eleanor Haburton of the state of California; one granddaughter Teresa Kinghorn; three great grandchildren Elxa Kilgor, Gaberallia Elliott and Jadyn Holtzclaw; and several nieces and nephews.
Maurice was preceded in death by his parents, son Larry Calfee, first wife Mildred Morrow Calfee, second wife Louise Imbler Calfee, three sisters and one brother.
Mr. Calfee was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Huntsville. He served his country during World War II while serving in the U.S. Army. Maurice had worked for Peabody Coal Company as a coalminer for 40 years. He was a member of the Huntsville Masonic Lodge for 55 years. Mr. Calfee was an avid Cardinals fan, and he also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
