Mary was born on March 14, 1923 in Monroe to Elmer Frederick and Sarah (LaFountain) Sawdy.
Mary attended Monroe Public Schools, and in her younger years she was on the VFW Post #1138 Drum Corps, and was a beautician in the Monroe area for many years.
Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed bowling.
She was married to Leon S. Adamowicz who preceded her in death on July 11, 2005.
Mary is survived by her daughters Paula Crum of Monroe and Susan Mann of Newport, sister Helen Boudrie of Paris, Tenn., 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son David and one granddaughter Marie Crum.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday March 13th at the Allore Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes 203 E. Elm Ave. Monroe, MI. 48162, where services will be held on Saturday March 14th at 11:00 a.m., Rev Robert Mossett will officiate, interment St. Joseph Cemetery Monroe.
