1st Lt, Troop C, 87th Cavalry Recon Squadron, 7th Armored Division. Died on the road between Asten and Meijel, Holland. This engagement was known as the "Battle of the Canals".

Entered the military on January 6, 1941 at Westfield, New Jersey.
