Donald Francis Wills, a Hollister resident, died at his home on Friday, Oct. 26 after a long illness. He was 54. Mr. Wills was an honor graduate of the University of Phoenix with a degree in business management. He worked as an analyst and business manager at United Technologies Corp. for the past 18 years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed conquering the Poppy Hills Golf Course. His hobbies included tending his garden, cooking, walking the beach at the dunes of Pajaro and listening to nature. He served in the U.S. Army as a guided missile mechanic during the Vietnam Era. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Wills. He is survived by his loving companion, Diane Darnell of Gilroy, parents Bertram and Theresa Wills of Haverhill, Mass., twin brother Dennis Wills of Leominster, Mass., brother Douglas Wills of Sacramento, sister Eileen Wills of Methuen, Mass., daughter Sherri Shedd of Derry, N.H., son Kevin Wills of Kanoehe, Hawaii, and grandson Nathan Shedd of Derry, N.H. He was a beloved friend of the McIntyre Clan. A memorial mass will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Old Mission San Juan Bautista. A gathering of friends will take place at 3 p.m. at Jardines de San Juan restaurant in San Juan Bautista. Arrangements for cremation are under the direction of Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Odyssey Health Care of Santa Clara County.
