GOODWIN, Jackie Leon, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 1, 2009. He was born October 14, 1929 to William and Alma Goodwin. He was the sixth child of this union, the baby of the family. He graduated from Central High School in Tulsa, OK in 1949. He married his true love, Maxie, on March 11, 1950. Jack served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Jack worked for American Airlines for 33 years. He was a member of Parkland Baptist Church since 1956. Jack was preceded in death by his son, Jeff Goodwin; his parents; two sisters; two brothers; and his infant son, David. He is survived by his loving wife, Maxie; daughters, Carol Givens and Joyce Tarter and her husband, Robert; grandson, Nathan Michael Givens; granddaughters, Jamie Lynn Goodwin and Nicole Michelle Givens; his sister, Eula Mae Nunley; several devoted nieces, nephews, and neighborhood children.
