The graveside service for Gladys T. Smith, 104, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Perry, will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2009, at Grace Hill Memorial Pavilion in Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry. The Rev. Aaron Summers will officiate. Arrangements are by Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, Perry.

She was born Jan. 14, 1905, in Lawton to Stephen A. and Theresa Bergschneider Diebold and died Sunday, March 15, 2009.

She was raised by her grandparents who moved to Perry when she was young.

She married Riley A. Smith in Perry. She worked throughout her life, with many hours spent at Perry Memorial Hospital. She later moved to The Wellington Retirement Community in Oklahoma City.

Surviving are one daughter, Geneva Skinner of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Riley, two sons, one brother and one granddaughter.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, OK 73077, to American Heart Association, stroke research.
