Such a character as that of Mrs. Jones could not fail to make a lasting impression on any place that was her home. Her cheerful, self-sacrificing disposition, her cordial, unaffected manner, her keen, practical mind, all combined to make of her a woman whose life meant much to her community as well as to her family. She was for many years a devout member of the Presbyterian church of her town. Outstanding among her characteristics was her devotion to her husband, her children, and her sister, all bound to her by the true ties of such affection as make an ideal family life. They can now rise up and call her blessed for the happy memories and inspiration she has left them. Such a death is truly sad, the loss of a mother,and wife so needed is deeply to be deplored and we join with her many other friends in a feeling of sincere sympathy for her bereaved family.
