Everett E. Cashion was born November 6, 1919 in Tilden to Henry and Florence York Cashion. His surviving siblings included Hazel Cobin and June Gooden, both of Dowell; Tillie Klingler of St. Louis; Delores Scott of Belleville; Ethel Daily of Rockford; Daisy Bandy of De Soto; and Albert [Cashion] of Elkville. A sister preceded him in death.

He married Beulah Mae Barnes on September 19, 1942 in St. Louis. She survived as well as sons, Stanley of Hurst and Daryl of De Soto.

Mr. Cashion was a member of the Knoff Bend Pentecostal Church near Elkville.

He died at the age of 55 on Wednesday, July 2, 1975 (dead on arrival at Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin). His funeral was held at Neal Memorial Chapel in Du Quoin.
