I never had the pleasure of meeting Loyd face to face as his life was cut short before I entered the picture. However, I have met him through the eyes and hearts of his family and I can tell you that he was larger than life. Loyd was very much loved and still is, by his wife Rosalee. When she speaks his name, her eyes light up like a childs eyes at Christmas. She sparkles when his name is spoken. His friends and family love him dearly and enjoyed life while he blessed this earth. He taught his children to be honest and hard working and never to give up. He has two children: Wenona Ray (Walker) Jones and Ronnie Lee Walker.

Wenona told me that when she was little it was a game to lay her down to sleep. Daddy would be the one who would get her to take naps. However, once daddy fell asleep, Wenona was up causing havic.

Rosalee says that she was the disciplinary one with Ronnie when he would get grounded.... and trust me he deserved each and every one... She says he would walk holes in the floor and Loyd would say..JUST LET HIM GO PLAY!

His "best friend" told me that he lost a STEAK DINNER bet with Loyd and they went to dinner so he could pay up. Loyd took one very small bit and told him how yummy and laid his fork and knife down and pushed the plate away and said : "I'm full". That was his way of saying I got you.

I wish I would have had the pleasure of meeting Loyd, but I hope somehow he knows that his friends and family miss him very much.
