Elizabeth Cecile "Liza" Milam, 70 years old, passed away gracefully on March 2, 1999 with her family by her side. She was born and raised in Wolfpoint, MT. Her parents were William Schindler and Kathy Starr. She moved to Wenatchee in 1966 where she worked at Cedargreens until her retirement in 1987. She married Ben Milam April 12, 1980.
Liza loved sewing and crafts. She was also an active member of the American Legion and the Eagles. She enjoyed playing bingo with all of her friends. Her greatest love, however, was her family. She was proud of each and every one and all of their accomplishments. She found great joy in holding all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her son, Frederick Eder (1947-1971), her parents and one brother, Frederick Schindler preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband Ben Milam, her sisters Josephine, Vida, Ernestine, Lillian, and brother Joseph as well as two daughters, Debby and Floral, and her son James; granddaughters, Parcae, Nonie, Keya, Nicole, Jessica, Michelle, Tanzya; grandsons, Nathan, Stephen, James, Freddie and six great-grandchildren, Raven, Andrew, Donavynn, Taylor, Jackson, Aphena, and Bryan, son-in-law Rick and best friend Babe Williams.
She was beautiful and gracious, a true lady. She loved the Lord with all her heart. A piece of her will always remain within our hearts.
Holy Rosary will be recited at Telford's Chapel of the Valley, Thursday evening at 7 p.m.. A funeral service will also be held at the funeral home, Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Fr. Seamus Kerr officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at the Wenatchee City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday until 8:30 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
There will be a reception following at 139 Heather Lane in Wenatchee.
Those who wish may make memorial donations to the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society or charity of choice.
