Curtis G. Freeman, 71, of Adrian, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at home after a brief illness. He was born Jan. 20, 1936, in Adrian, a son of the late Clarence and Rosanna (Lasher) Freeman, and was a lifelong resident of the community. He was employed as a truck driver for Freeman Trucking for 50 years. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grand-children and his little Poodle, Wee Bear. He was known to his trucker friends as Ashman. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Margaret Freeman; two daughters, Theresa Bowser and husband, Ken, of Adrian, and Angela Haye and husband, Eric, of Karns City; grandsons, Catlin Bowser, of Adrian, and Macklin Haye, of Karns City; granddaughters, Ciara Bowser, of Adrian, and Marlee Haye, of Karns City; his father-in-law, Richard McCanna, of Adrian; a brother, Emery B. Freeman and wife, Elanor, of Adrian; a sister, Betty Wolff and husband, Arthur, of Butler; and four nieces and four nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Gloria McCanna. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday in the SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME, Cowansville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with his father-in-law, the Rev. Richard W. McCanna, officiating. Interment in Limestone Cemetery.
