Funeral services for Mr. Harry R. Buckley, 90, of Linville were held at, 2 p.m. April 11 at the First Baptist Church in Marion. Bro. Bubba Hoggett and Bro. Gary Canterbury officiated. Burial followed in Liberty Cemetery in Linville under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville.

Mr. Buckley was born on September 29, 1917 in Oakland and passed away on April 9 in Farmerville. He was a Military Police veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Army. He was retired from IMC. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening, his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, six siblings, his wife Novia Brown Buckley, and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.

Survivors include his sisters Annie Lee Buckley Brazel of Farmerville; Carrie Lou Buckley Cook of Fairbanks; son, Bob Buckley and wife Janet C. of Linville; four grandchildren, Courtney Buckley of West Monroe; Justin Lee Buckley of Linville; Caleb Lee Roberson of Linville; Joshua C. Buckley of Linville; two great-grandchildren, Jacob Buckley of West Monroe; Madeline "Madi" Buckley of West Monroe; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers were Sheriff Richard Fewell, Sheriff Wayne Houck, Sonny Auger, Charles Crow, Don McClanahan, Kenny Burgess, Zane Hicks and Bill Patterson.

Honorary Pallbearers were Whit Fitzgerald, J.A. Auger, A.C. Buckley and Dewitt Crow.
