Marilyn Bajer, 50, of Abbott, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009, in Denton. A rosary will be recited 6 p.m. followed by a visitation until 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11a.m. Thursday, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott. Burial will follow at Fatima Cemetery near Abbott.

Marilyn Jean was born in Waco, Texas, to Frank and Catherine (Flaherty) Bajer. She graduated from Abbott High School and Texas State Technical College with a Dietary Degree. Marilyn worked as a Dietary Manager for the Homestead Nursing Home in Hillsboro over 10 years, the Turkey Shop in Abbott, DFW Airport Deli, Malouf Sewing Factory in Hillsboro, and at a Sandwich Chef in Dallas. Marilyn loved car races, making handmade rosaries, playing dominoes, especially 42 tournaments, and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She was a member of KJZT #11, and was a lifetime member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents; and her father, Frank Bajer, Jr.

Survivors include her mother, Catherine Bajer and special friend, Alfons Mikuda, of West; her special friend, Joe Napolitano, of West; sister, Linda Kaluza and husband, Ronnie, of Austin; brothers, Frank J. Bajer III, of Mart, Larry Bajer, of Abbott, and David Bajer and wife, Cathy, of West; nephews, Shane Kaluza, Brian Kaluza, Frank Bajer IV and wife, Brenda, and Adam Bajer and special friend, Lena; nieces, Crystal Mier and husband, Scott, Brandi Bajer and special friend, Lee Green, Amy Bajer and special friend, Paul, Jamie Neal and husband, Allen, Kelly Deramee and husband, Christopher, and Jessica Bajer; great-nieces and nephews, Zachary, Spencer, and Caitlyn; godparents, Willie Mae and Ambrose (Ham) Uptmor; and several other relatives and friends.
