Cynthia L. Hammond, 55, died March 10, 2009. She was a resident of Greenwood and a former resident of Columbus.
She was born in Columbus to the late John T. and Alma (Robertson) Hammond.
Survivors include her sisters, Debbie Hammond of Columbus, Beth E. (Douglas) Harrah of Indianapolis; and an aunt, Betty Hammond of Columbus.
She received a master's degree in education from IUPUI. She taught for 22 years at Whiteland Elementary School. She was a member of the Indiana State Teacher's Association.
The Rev. Charles Aigner will conduct a graveside funeral service at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus.Arrangements were handled by Hathaway-Myers Chapel on Pearl Street, Columbus.
