On Monday, 31 January, 2005, just before 4:00 p.m. EST, Laura Frances Purdy, known as Lady Lory of The Pale Court, passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Laura was a talented clothing designer whose dresses and other clothing items have been featured at Kambriel, a gothic clothing company offering, in their own words: "Darkly elegant designs for femme fatales and decadent gentlemen." Following Laura's death, fellow designer Kambriel graciously offered to complete a selection of items left unfinished by Laura at the time of her death. Some of these items were in the very beginning stages of being cut out, while others were partially sewn. Each of Laura's designs was faithfully completed and a number have been featured in gothic modeling shoots, magazines and fashion shows. Some of Laura's most exquisite designs were photographed on models posing in ancient, mystical places in the United Kingdom...places Laura had always wanted to travel.

Back of Memorial Reads:
All love is sweet
given or returned.
Common as light is love,
and its familiar voice
wearies not ever.

They who inspire it most
are fortunate,
as I am now:
But those who feel it most
are happier still.
