Elsie Jane Campbell Pitcher, age 98, of Richmond, Ind., died Monday, April 29, 2002, at Pinehurst Care Center in Centerville, Ind. She was born Dec. 19, 1903, on the Campbell Farm in Jackson Township, Preble County, Ohio, to the late Levi Laurence and Estella May (Bozworth) Campbell. She was a retired dental technician for Dr. John Linn, DDS, member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Richmond, Ind., 1921 graduate of Jackson Township High School, Ladies Auxiliary of Tarum Shrine, Richmond, Ind., former member of Richmond Elks, member of the Friendly Club, Campbellstown, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Pitcher, who died May 22, 1988; brothers, Everett Campbell, Stanley Campbell, Glenn Campbell, Forest Campbell; sisters, Edna Campbell, Mabel Hustead, Margarete Ryan, Ruth Richardson, Mary Pryfogle.

She is survived by six nieces and six nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. (Ohio time) Saturday, May 4, 2002, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, 226, W. Main St., Eaton, Ohio, with Rev. Martin P. Gehring officiating. Entombment will be at Earlham Memorial Mausoleum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services in the funeral home on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to Wernle Children's Home, 2000 Wernle Road, Richmond, IN 47374.
