He spent most of his life as a farmer on the place where he was born. He met with unbounded courage and optimism through many of these past years not only drouth and flood, but ill health while finally caused his death. Myron was truthful, sincere and honest, and was devoted to his wife and boys and thoughtful and considerate of others. In his last letter home after going to the hospital he expressed his thanks and appreciation to his family for their care and devotion to him thru his trials and sickness. His passing so early in life has come as a shock and caused deep sorrow among his family, his neighbors and the whole community. He fought a good fight and kept the faith.
