Obituary: "Mrs. Harris Dies Sunday Long-time Resident Had Been Ill For Several Weeks --Funeral tomorrow. Mrs. Jennie Black Harris, 72, a resident of the county for the past 15 years, died at a local hospital Sunday after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Harris had suffered a broken leg and shock. She was the wife of Stephen Harris, 912 North Tenth street. Mr. and Mrs. Harris were married April 19, 1888 at Carnahan Creek. Mrs. Harris was born May 14, 1866 in Allegheny County, Penn. Survivors include the husband; one daughter, Mrs. John Hamlet, Onaga; two sons, Myron Harris, Garrison, and Kenneth Harris, Chetopa, Kan.; one brother, Robert Fleming of California; one sister, Mrs. Charles Currie, Manhattan; six grandchildren and other relatives. Mrs. Harris attended the college here for one year. She was a school teacher two years before her marriage. She was a member of the United Presbyterian church. Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning at the United Presbyterian church with the Rev. A.M. Reed, pastor in charge. Interment will be at the Garrison cemetery. The body was taken to Ryan Funeral home."
