October 12, 1961 The Eagle
This car, which was being driven by Herbert Albert Wiese of 1407 Hickory, skidded off the roadway and into the weeds Wednesday afternoon after being in an accident with a car that was parked in the travel portion of West 29th St. at the railroad crossing, 500 feet west of Suncrest St., police records show. The other car was reported to belong to Fred Finke of 1909 S. College. Patrolman George Coe, in the background, investigated the accident. There were no injuries reported. ...The other vehicle involved was a 1970 Brazos County Co-op truck, hauling grain, driven by Herbert Albert Wiese, 707 Alice, Bryan. He was not injured in the accident. Sgt. Feldman reported an eyewitness said the LaMar car failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the grain truck on the right front side.
