Bruce A. Troutman, 75, of RR 1, Herndon, died Sunday, April 9, at 9:32 p.m. at The Manor at Susquehanna Village, Millersburg, where he had been a patient since Feb. 16, 2005.
Born at Klingerstown on July 11, 1930, he was a son of the late George M. Troutman and Mary S. (Rabuck) Troutman, who died Jan. 9, 2006.
He was a retired farmer and butcher, and sold fresh meats door to door in the surrounding areas for many years for Troutman Brothers Meats of Klingerstown, of which he was a former partner, retiring in 2003.
He was a 1948 graduate of the Lower Mahanoy Township High School and enjoyed woodworking.
He was a member of the Grace Community Church at RR 1, Herndon, and the Klingerstown Fire Company.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanette D. (Wiest) Troutman, who died Aug. 25, 1977.
Surviving are his second wife, Rita M. (Rice) Schlitzer Troutman of RR 1, Herndon, whom he married July 15, 1978; six children and spouses: Trudy Troutman of Harrisburg; Randy Troutman and his wife, Ellen of RR 1, Shamokin; Pam Troutman and her husband Tab of Valley View; Jane Schoener and her husband, Terry of Selinsgrove; Ann Louise Scheuer and her husband Rick of New Ringgold; and Don Schlitzer and his wife, Diane of Mohnton; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Earl Troutman, Bryant Troutman and Clair Troutman, all of RR 1, Herndon; and nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday followed by funeral at 11 a.m. in the Grace Community Church at Route 225, RR 1, Herndon, with the Rev. Gerald Evens and the Rev. Robert Straub officiating. Burial in St. Michael?s Cemetery, Klingerstown. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Grace Community Church, RR 1, Box 1649, Herndon, Pa. 17830-9658.
