John Henry Scott
NORTON, Va. - John Henry Scott, 74, died in a Wise, Va. hospital Monday evening after an illness of several months.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sade Scott, Norton; four daughters, Mrs. Paul Snead, Ben Hur, Va.; Mrs. Vilas, Thacker, Mrs. Dudley Williams and Mrs. Hubert Eldridge, all of Norton; three sons, James, Dayton, Ohio, Albert and Hershell Scott, Norton; two sisters, Mrs. D. B. Burton, Norton, and Mrs. W. M. Thomas, Wise; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Freedom of Worship Church on Thackers Branch near Norton with the Rev. Glenn Sturgill and Rev. Bill Donalds officiating.
Burial will, follow in the Laurel Grove Cemetery at Norton.
The body was taken to the residence at 4:30 p.m.. Tuesday from the Minor and Hagy Funeral Home.
