Mr Behrent was born in Lamar, MO and moved to Oregon in 1933. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Before the war, he was an asbestos worker for the E.J. Bartels Co. He later worked for the Oregon Bulb Farms, at lumber mills in Estacada and for Oregon Steel Mills in Portland for almost 30 years until his retirement in 1984.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce A of Portland; three daughters, Linda Preas, Patty Goleiewski and Sandra Saling, all of Portland; four sisters, Elizabeth Haynes of Snohomish, WA, Addia Vidito of Roseburg, Orpha Vidito of Carson City, NV, and Frances Broberg of Portland; and three grandchildren.
Burial will be in Willamette National Cemetery.
