Funeral Services Held For Nannie Langston

Miss Nannie Langston died Friday night, May 24th at her home here in Calico Rock. She had been in poor health for some while.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 26 at 11:00 a.m. at the Flat Rock Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Casteel officiating. Interment was in the Flat Rock Cemetery.

Nannie Catherine Langston was born October 21, 1868 in the Flat Rock community and was 88 years, 7 months and 3 days of age at the time of her death.

At the age of 12 she joined the Flat Rock Methodist Church and served as one of its most devoted members.

She is survived by one sister Miss Polly Amanda Langston of Calico Rock, with whom she made her home.

Miss Langston was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers, John of Spring Creek, Robert W. of Bandmill, Henry B. and Wiley T. of Calico Rock, Silanes of Spring Creek, Elbert of Forty-Four and one that died at birth; and one sister, Mattie E. Langston of the Gorby Community.
