RULE, Sept. 7 (RNS)--Funeral for E. L. Simpson, 49, of Amarillo and formerly of Rule, will be held here at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church.

Officiating will be the Rev. E. L. Redden, retired Abilene pastor, the Rev. C. A. Powell of Weinert, and former pastor of the church, and the Rev. Wayland Boyd, pastor.

Burial will be in Rule Cemetery. Gauntt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Lee Norman and E. J. Cloud, both of Rule, Wayne Stevens, Elvin Cooley, Woodrow Bagley and Granville Kincaid, all of Hamlin.

Mr. Simpson died at 12:25 p.m. Monday in his car in Amarillo following a heart attack.

He was born Sept. 26, 1904, at Ladonia in Fannin County. He was reared by the late Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Cole at Rule. He married Mary Carroll in December, 1923, at Rule.

Mr. Simpson was an employee of the American National Insurance Co.

Survivors are his wife and two sons, Lindell and Carroll Dee, all of Amarillo; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Black of Amarillo and Mrs. J. J. Gregory of Abilene; and one granddaughter.

One sister, Mrs. Ernest Allen of Rule, and his mother, Mrs. Mary Simpson, preceded him in death.
