I have been told by several relatives in Bibb County that Hiram died in 1871 and
was buried in his peach orchard next to his eldest daughter. The graves were not
marked. Herman Dawson Belcher was going to try to get markers placed and take me
to the spot where he had been told they were buried, but he died before he could do it.
