Granddaddy was a kind, gentle man who enjoyed church and music. I remember going to his house when I was little and we would sing songs and play the piano. And he was never without a crossword puzzle from the The Atlanta Journal. My love of puzzles came from him and poetry. I dearly love puzzles, even jigsaw puzzles. Granddad and his wife had 7 children. Lillian Blanche, Vivian Olive, James Aubrey, Gordie Mae, Lowell Eugene, Kerwin Lawrence, and my dad Noble William Beall. He lost his first wife in 1924 and after granddad died, uncle Aubrey had gone to order a new headstone when he couldn't remember the exact dates for his mother. Therefore a discrepancy of one year exist between the headstone and the foot-stone of my grandmother.
