Ralph Loyd, Sr., Expires Tuesday
Ralph Loyd, Sr., 63, R. R. 1, Morristown, a former Rush County resident, died at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday in Major Hospital at Shelbyville. He was admitted to the hospital April 17 with a heart ailment.
He was born in Rushville Township on November 28, 1900, a son of Riney and Lou Beach Loyd, and was married October 28, 1924, to Minnie McMichael. His wife died in 1947.
Mr. Loyd lived in Rush County until 1944, when he moved to the Morristown community.
Survivors include one son, Ralph, Jr., R. R. 1, Morristown; a stepson, William McMichael, R. R. 1, Shelbyville; a brother, Ervin Loyd of Rushville, and seven grandchildren.
The Rev. C. O. Douglas will conduct services at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hampton Mortuary in Carthage, where friends may call after 7 p.m. today, with burial in East Hill Cemetery at Arlington.

Rites Thursday for Elevator Employee, 63
Ralph Loyd Sr., 63, R.R. 1, Morristown, an employee of the Morristown Grain Elevator, died at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday at Major Hospital where he had been a patient since April 17.
Mr. Loyd was born Nov. 28, 1900, in Rush County where he lived until 1944 when he moved to Morristown. He was the son of Riney and Lou (Beach) Loyd and he married Minnie McMichael and she died in 1947.
Surviving are a son, Ralph Loyd Jr. of R.R. 1, Morristown; a step-son, William McMichael of R.R. 1, Shelbyville; a brother, Ervin Loyd of Rushville, and seven grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Hampton Mortuary at Carthage Thursday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. C. O. Douglas officiating. Burial will be in the East Hill Cemetery at Arlington. Friends may call at the mortuary after 7:00 p.m. today.
