OBITUARY, Rushville [IN] Republican, Thursday, March 4, 1954:

Jean McMichael, Arlington, Dies

Carson Jean McMichael, 32, Arlington carpenter and contractor, died at 3:30 a.m. Thursday in Rush Memorial Hospital.

A World War II veteran, Mr. McMichael was born in Arlington and lived there most of his life. He was a son of Carson A. and Carrie Alexander McMichael. He was graduated from Arlington High School in 1940 and attended Marion College at Marion, Ind., three years before his war service.

He was engaged in the contracting business with his father.

Survivors besides the parents are his widow, formerly Bertha Scott of Pittsburg, Pa.; two daughters, Elizabeth Ann and Nancy; a brother, Forrest Dwight McMichael of Ottawa Lake, Mich., and a sister, Mrs. Leverett Chrisman of Arlington. His maternal grandmother, Mrs. Flora Alexander of Rushville, also survives.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Moster Mortuary with the Rev. John Quinn, assistant pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in East Hill Cemetery at Arlington.

Friends may call at the mortuary after 2 p.m. Friday.
