OBITUARY, Rushville [IN] Daily Republican, Tuesday, May 11, 1982:

Carrie E. McMichael, 81, formerly of the Arlington community, died after a brief illness at 4 a.m. Monday in the Tallahassee, Florida Memorial Hospital. She had lived in Florida and Gainesville, Texas since 1971.

Born in Rushville February 7, 1901, she was the daughter of Omer and Flora Conrad Alexander.

She was a former member of the Arlington Garden Club and the Wat-nex hobby club.

She was married November 26, 1919 to Carson A. McMichael who died June 19, 1972.

Survivors include one son, Forrest (Bill) McMichael of Gainesville, Texas; and one daughter, Mrs. Leverett (June) Chrisman of Belvidere, Illinois; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Carson Jean, and a sister.

Services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Moster and Sons Mortuary with the Rev. Kenneth Heer officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington East Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Moster and Sons Mortuary.
