He died Monday, Dec. 27, 1982,
at Memorial Hospital. Born Nov. 6,
1893, in Carroll County, he was the
son of Michael W. and Maudella
Wilson Murphy.
His marriage was to Ocle Helvie,
who died in 1973.
A retired self-employed accountant
and insurance man, he worked
for the U. S. Post Office during
World War II.
A World War I veteran, he was a
member of the Eagles and Elks
Lodges, American Legion, World
War I Veterans Association and St.
Vincent’s Catholic Church.
Surviving is a sister, Marie
Sanderson of Logansport.
