FONDELETE I. (RUMSEY) FULTON, 91, former owner and operator of Range View Motel in Colorado Springs, died May 11, 1996, at a Lakewood hospice.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Central Christian Church, West Pikes Peak Avenue and 20th Street. Inurnment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave. Aspen Mortuaries is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Fulton was born Nov. 12, 1904, in Lowell, Ind., to J. CLAUDE and GRACE (PINKERTON) RUMSEY.
She was married July 27, 1929, in Crown Point, Ind., to HENRY R. FULTON, who died in 1950.
She is survived by a son, JAMES A. of Cortez; a daughter, DR. GRACE A. BENNETT of Lakewood; a sister, CHLOTIELDE LILLIE of Colorado Springs; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.
Mrs. Fulton graduated from Lowell High School and attended Valparaiso University. She moved to Colorado Springs in 1945 with her family.
She was the first woman to be awarded a lifetime membership to the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce as a result of her work with the Chamber's Roundup Club. She was the president of the Motel Association and was an active member of the Business and Professional Women's Club.
Mrs. Fulton was a member of Green Mountain Christian Church in Lakewood.
