After their 'Millinery Shop' was destroyed by fire, Jean Baptiste and Euphrasie left France and emigrated to the US on the Ship Pennland. They arrived in New York, New York on 26 Jan 1889 and soon settled in Grundy County, Illinois. Jean Baptiste died there and Euphrasie moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado with her daughter (Aglaé) and son-in-law.
Euphrasie was buried next to her daughter and son-in-law, John and Aglae (Forestier) Becquet on 28 Sep 1900 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs.
