OBITUARY – Rogers (Arkansas) Democrat, February 24, 1914 – R. A. Carson died last Thursday, February 12, at the home of his son R. R. Carson, in the south part of town. He was seventy-seven years old and had lived here for a good many years. He had been in failing health the past few years. The funeral was held at the residence Friday and was conducted by Rev. F. E. Dodson. The body was taken back to the old home at Puryear, Tenn. and was accompanied by R. R. Carson and son Harry. Mr. Carson was a good man and a good citizen and his life was a worthy example to all who knew him.
