A Korean War veteran, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Ruby Blackburn Clifton; a son, Jeffrey Eldon Clifton; his parents, Thomas Elsworth & Myrtle McCollum Clifton, and a brother, Jeep Clifton.
Surviving him are his daughters, Debbie Brown, Elaine Hemrick, & Billie Phipps; sons, Doublas "Woody" Clifton, Jr. & Tommy Eugene Clifton; three sisters, Betty Jane Fowler, Mary Blevins, & Patricia Ann Aaron; brothers, Leon, Jimmy, Frankie, Carlos, & Steve Clifton; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were conducted Wednesday, January 9, 2008.
