OBITUARIES -- JOHN WERNER --
John Arthur Werner, 87, of Amherst, a World War I U. S. Navy veteran, died May 30 at Amherst Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Amherst, March 18, 1898, and lived there all of his life. Werner was employed by the former Keller-Cohn Co., Elyria, for 27 years before retiring in 1962.
Werner was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a son Norman, M. of Grafton; daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Betty) Heck, Amherst; three grandchildren, and brothers Walter and Paul, both of Amherst. His wife of 61 years, Lena Emma, died March 26, 1985.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
