Funeral services for Wanda Palmer, 78, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lemons Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Don Robertson, pastor of College Heights Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Olton Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Palmer died Wednesday, March 11, 2009, in Odessa. Wanda was born Sept. 28, 1930, to Robert and Ida Thommarson in Seymour. She married James Palmer on Feb. 18, 1950. He died Feb. 19, 1964. She retired from the Texas Department of Human Services in 1995. She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Sherry Palmer of Odessa; one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Scott Snodgrass of Fredericksburg; and one granddaughter. Her husband and one brother, Robert Thommarson Jr., are deceased.
