Agnes Elizabeth Stallbaumer, 60, wife of Claude Stallbaumer, passed away very suddenly at her home ten miles south of Sabetha, Thursday afternoon, Sept. 27, 1955.
Agnes, as she was known to her many friends, had lived in the Sabetha area for the past 16 years and prior, she had lived south of Baileyville for 16 years.
During her life she formed many strong and lasting friendships due to her ready willingness to extend a cheery smile and a helping hand to any who needed her.
She was born Agnes Feldkamp, the daughter of Frederick and Bertha Feldkamp at Seneca, KS, August 17, 1895. She was one of eight children with three brothers and four sisters. Her father and two sisters preceded her in death.
She was united in marriage to Claude Stallbaumer, January 19, 1915, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. From this happy union were born four children, three sons and one daughter.
She is survived by her husband, Claude, sons, Virgil and Regis of Kansas City; Donald of Sabetha; and daughter, Eileen Redinger of Omaha, NE.; eleven grandchildren and her mother, Bertha Feldkamp of Seneca. She is also survived by her brothers, Francis of Goff; Philip of Corning; Gregory of Kansas City; and sisters, Mrs. Ed Haverkamp of Seneca and Mrs George Grosdidler of Eudora, KS.
She was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church and the St. Augustine Ladies Sodality.
Father Adrian Stallbaumer offered the Requiem High Mass at St. Augustine Church, Fidelity, KS, Monday, October 3, 1955. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
