She was in the last graduating class of the old Farmhaven High School in April 1957.

In October of 1956, she met Bernard "Buddy" Myers of Tuscola and after graduating from high school she followed Buddy out to Dallas, Texas. They married on Buddy's birthday that year June the 3rd. Carolyn always said that she married on Buddy's birthday so Buddy would never forget their anniversary. After all, she had to give him a Christmas present on her birthday. Carolyn was an incredible seamstress, decorator, and a gourmet cook. She will be missed by her family and friends as well as the community of Lena.

She is survived by her husband, Buddy Myers of Tuscola and four children, Kris Myers of Grand Prairie, Texas, Ben Myers of Byram, Laura Linschoten of Carthage and Lisa Myers of Long Beach, Calif.
